Assessment and planning

Service
Move mail and collaboration to Microsoft 365 with planned cutovers, clear communication and minimal disruption.
A mail migration touches every user in the business. Done well, people arrive the next morning to the same mailbox, calendar and shared resources on a better platform. Done poorly, it means lost mail, broken rules and a surge of support calls.
I have completed more than 65 Exchange to Microsoft 365 migrations from on-premises and hosted Exchange, including hybrid coexistence and DAG-based Exchange upgrades. Each follows a tested plan with a defined cutover window and rollback point.

Exchange hybrid configuration so users on both platforms share mail flow, free/busy and a single address book during the transition.
Structured moves from third-party hosted Exchange providers, covering data transfer and DNS cutover.
Planned DNS changes timed to avoid lost or delayed mail, with delivery validated before and after cutover.
DAG-based Exchange upgrades for organisations that retain on-premises Exchange.
Licensing, shared mailboxes, groups, mail flow rules and Teams configured, with support through the first days after cutover.
Review the current mail platform, data volumes, permissions and integrations.
Agree migration batches, user communications, the cutover window and a rollback point.
Start with a pilot group, then move in staged batches with pre-staged data to keep cutover short.
Verify mail flow, support users and guide the decommissioning of legacy servers.
Tools change. Good engineering doesn't. I work with the platforms already in place and adapt quickly to new ones.
Smaller organisations can often migrate within a few weeks, including planning and a pilot. Larger or hybrid migrations run in stages over a longer period. The timeline is agreed during assessment, based on mailbox count, data volume and coexistence needs.
The migration is designed to prevent it. Data is pre-staged, mail flow changes are timed carefully and delivery is verified before and after cutover, with a rollback point defined in advance.
Yes. Hosted Exchange moves make up a significant share of the more than 65 migrations I have completed, including planning around provider export limitations.
Hybrid suits larger organisations and staged moves that need shared calendars across platforms. Smaller organisations often migrate faster without it. The assessment recommends the right option for your environment.
