Azure infrastructure
Virtual machines, networking, SQL workloads and cloud-hosted domain controllers designed for security and manageability.
Service
Reliable Windows Server, Azure and virtualisation platforms, built for performance and continuity.
Infrastructure should be the part of IT nobody has to think about. That takes sound design, capacity for growth and backups that are tested rather than assumed.
I build and manage infrastructure across Azure, AWS and private cloud, from complete environment builds with domain controllers, file servers, RDS farms and DHCP, to Azure Virtual Desktop, Hyper-V failover clusters and VMware ESXi, protected by Veeam and Datto backup and continuity.
Virtual machines, networking, SQL workloads and cloud-hosted domain controllers designed for security and manageability.
Remote desktop platforms that give users a consistent, secure workspace from any device.
Environments built from scratch: domain controllers, file servers, RDS farms and DHCP.
Hyper-V clusters with failover and VMware ESXi hosts, sized and configured for resilience.
Veeam, Datto BCDR, Acronis and Windows Server Backup, with restores tested rather than assumed.
Planned Windows Server upgrades from legacy versions, keeping workloads supported and secure.
Review workloads, capacity, dependencies, licensing and continuity requirements.
Choose the right mix of cloud, on-premises and hybrid, with resilience designed in.
Deploy and migrate workloads with testing and agreed change windows.
Monitoring, backup verification and documentation that keep the platform healthy.
Tools change. Good engineering doesn't. I work with the platforms already in place and adapt quickly to new ones.
It depends on your workloads, licensing and connectivity. Some workloads run best in Azure, some on-premises and many in a hybrid model. An assessment compares the options so the decision rests on cost, performance and risk.
Both deliver remote desktops and applications. RDS runs on servers you manage, on-premises or in the cloud. Azure Virtual Desktop is a Microsoft-managed service in Azure with multi-session Windows and flexible scaling.
Restore tests should run on a regular schedule and after any significant change. A backup is only proven once data has been successfully restored from it.
